Football wise very raw and plays way too high. Hope that his bb game is more advanced.

I do agree with you, youngalum. Does play a bit high. May be a product of his height. However, I do like how he chased that back about 50 yards and made the tackle. Showed explosive speed.

Except names have been applied to them by both the knowing and the unknowing. In addition you should be familiar with one of the names from down your way. The Ferguson name has been well advertised and is hopefully the lesser of what we speak. What is muddling, at least from my view, is that the remaining has taken on more than one name. Teal, my local, or the New York kid would seem to be the other, none of which excite by my read. Perhaps you might wish to offer, since I don't know of any Florida connection that meets the standard of impact recruit. The impact kid was suppose to be from up North and the school thought was Miami Dade. Same conference that Teal plays in. I believe the kid was 6'6" and did sign on with East Carolina. He was a stud with Dade. Why mince around, the three kids mentioned were Ferguson, which did not light any fires when at Willingboro, Teal, who had a good HS career but also had two other 6'8" kids around him, and Parks, who was young and said a decision would be made by the end of April. My bet he will be going to Prep with a promise of a ship if he signs in November. Teal is hard to find out much on. He had some decent scoring games, but also had some stinkers fouling out with only five minutes played. No full stats from his freshman year, but a cursory look at the boxes, do not reveal a stud. Best comment would be serviceable players with minimal scoring ability other than paint points on misses. No Belin potential from their history. Few remember that Belin was voted MVP of the JUCO division 2. The two JUCOs here did play in Div 1. If accurate, this can not be rated a designed signing period, but strictly secondary choices due to failures on the prime targets. But until the kids hit the floor, no negatives can be applied. There are always surprises and while we nee some scoring potential up front, we will have the guards and wings that can score. Also don't forget Tucker, where nothing has been said, will potentially provide some front court help as well as wing support.

Are we sure that Tucker has made it ?
Thanks. Welcome to the board Monty, unless this is a name change.

Not a name change, new to the board, but i have been following it for some time, just never joined. Not sure about Tucker, I assumed that he was around but I could be wrong. I think the Ferguson commit is big, he was recruited by other D1 programs and was a good player at LT. Gives us much needed size for next year.

Northstar reporting that Jordon Parks gave verbal to St. Peters. Either Teal not coming, someone not coming back, or the verbal was for 2012. Lets hear some speculation.

I thought we had four to give: Fulton, Ferguson, Teal and now Parks?

We had three because Makeses Tucker had one. However if he didn't qualify, his became open. Or someone else could be leaving. As I said, speculation.

Tucker would be the fourth- as I stated in the past, my understanding was that he was very borderline to qualify. Someone may know better than me, but I would think we would not know his status for awhile since he could take summer classes to meet NCAA requirements.
Oldtimer's comment was that we got commitments from two JUCOs- if correct, Parks does not fit that description.

Unless I misunderstood, I was told (from the horses mouth) that it was two JUCO's with 2012 recruits currently visiting. In fact, one was said to give immediate help (read at the beginning of the season) while the other was expected to contribute as the season progressed. I'll let the speculators, speculate what that means.
As for me, I'm pleased that we got some size up front and will wait until practice or individual drills to form my own opinion. Remember that it took a season and a half for Jeron to come into his own. Before that a solid but spotty contributor.
