I heard from a good source that Tucker is on track to qualify. The plot continues to thicken. I can't wait to see how this whole thing plays out.

We had three because Makeses Tucker had one. However if he didn't qualify, his became open. Or someone else could be leaving. As I said, speculation. Do you know something other on Costner? These were the three options I presented "Either Teal not coming, someone not coming back, or the verbal was for 2012. Lets hear some speculation. " What is wrong with the third? For speculation, Teal has only been the only one mentioned by someone on this board with no real outside reporting. The Parks comes from tweets from a personal conversation of a recruiting blogger with Parks. Ferguson by Yahoo. Possibly no offer to Teal as no where has it been reported he was coming. But to answer your real question, nothing on Costner. Who have you heard anything on? Maybe Teal is coming.

If we have 2 JUCOS committed and Tucker on track, likely scenarios are someone leaving, Costner not returning or Parks waiting for 2012 after going prep.Parks had indicated in previous interviews he didn't want to prep and was leaning to taking SPC offer over that option.More likely either Costner not returning or another player leaving the fold.Would prefer the former over the later given the injury history with Jordan.

Nothing wrong with the options. If you accept that the two are Juco's and Tucker will qualify. Leaves us with the following questions.
1. Who is the second Juco, Teal?
2. Is Costner leaving? Then it is Parks since none of our other NY targets appear qualified.
Again, not encouraging if Ferguson is our impact. Was hoping the other was either one of the Monroe bigs or the kid from Harcum. Hopefully Ferguson is at least good enough to keep Raymond from having to play the 4. ;-)

The real question is where did the info on Teal come from. Peacockblue posted it that he was pretty sure. Oldtimer never said there were two JUCO commits, he only said there were two JUCO visits. So my speculation is that Teal was not a commit and Ferguson was the supposed impact player. Now if Teal is coming, and possibly Peacockblue can readdress this, there has to be some thing else going on, like a player leaving or Parks going Prep with a November signing. Must remember the Parks comment was that it was a verbal and he can sign an LOI.

I was told last week by a very reliable source that a kid from Fla had visited and was very interested. Ferguson has committed. I also had some reliable information that one of our current players was on thin ice to stay.Didn't get the kid from Fla. name. I can only surmise that if we do have 2 JUCOS and Parks comes we are losing the player i was told was in some trouble or they decided since Parks is essentially the same size and more a wing like Costner, not to bring him back. Also with Jordan's injury history you can't be sure he will be able to play.

Also johngalt i was told the FLA kid was the better of two JUCOS but no confirmation that we got him or his name.

Teal was one of the players that was in on a visit. When you (Peacock) had mentioned a player from Florida and Oldtimer mentioned two JUCO signings, I suggested he could be our guy since he fit the profile-you had mentioned that you were refering to another player from Florida that was not Teal who we were looking at in March. Possibly a poor job of putting two and two together on my part or maybe he still is our guy.
I read oldtimer's posts as two JUCOs have committed and players for 2012 are now visiting- this does not account for Parks unless he is coming in 2012 or someone is leaving. I don't know who eport's source is but I heard from a person that I consider very reliable that Tucker was borderline to qualify and needed a decent spring semester to so.
It would sure be nice if the Athletic Dept. would put up some sort of release on who has committed SIMILAR TO THAT OF EVERY OTHER MAAC SCHOOL.

I suspect you're right on Teal, peacockblue. The original FLA name i heard was out of Miami and has gone elsewhere. As to Tucker i spoke to someone in Chicago with first hand info and was told he was borderline to make it due to learning disabilities but that he was a great kid and working hard. That type of kid usually pulls through

You realize, of course, that the AD's office is laughing its ass off while we are trying to deduce who's coming or going from the ever so slight evidence that we have.

Tweets form the NyPost High School guru in answer to the report on Parks indicates confusion. He felt Parks was going to Prep. As of now this appears to be the most favorable answer. The original tweet indicated Parks did verbal. Many verbal a year ahead and will Prep and commit in November if they honor their verbal. Another tweet from Recriut Sccop says SPC has not offered Parks and he is not commited. Again speculation but fits most of what is being tweeted and rumored from in house.
So Teal is most likly coming with Parks a more questionable cnadidate for 2012.

NJ Hoops reporting SPC has landed a front court player... a former south jersey standout.

I see he committed on 5/13 per Rivals. At 6'8" will be in the picture for playing time.

Mixed news... viewed pick-up game today and spoke with several of the players. Nick was there as was Ryan, Jeron, Darius,Yuvon, Kelsey, Chris Burke, Steve, Jack, Prescott and Brandon.. Wes was not there, nor Blaise or Jordan. No sight of Tucker. The fact that some were not there should not be read into, since exams are in progress.
Additional sighting was that Ferguson was on the court. He IS NOT 6'8" or even close confirmed by eyesight and speaking with Chris Burke, who knows him.. Initial opinion, subject to change, is that he has some weight and strength to add. Positives were a good vertical leap and pretty good defensive player. On the other hand he tried to stay in the background and not do much offensively. Will have to see more.
Steve played exceptionally well and took control often. Think he has grown taller but with his given size, long arms and ability to put the ball on the floor, he will be tough for any MAAC player to handle. Given his defensive ability he should vie for All-MAAC
Chris Prescott can shoot the ball and is a legit 3 point shooter. Also good size. Think Chris Burke, if JD can find a spot for him, will also suprise. Natural scorer who can shoot a bit, drive and rebound. Capable of scoring 10 pts. per game if given the opportunity
Really wish Jack Hill had more playing time early in his career or was redshirted as was the plan before Costner was injured. No doubt he has shown nothing to date and it would be folly to think , at this point, that he will contribute much. On the other hand he has a lot of skills to go along with his negatives. Jack is a legit 6'8" with perhaps the best vertical leap on the team. He has filled out and has a body more like Darius than Ferguson. On the negative side, poor hands and doesn't seem to realize that he is better than he is (read...lack of confidence). Whether you like Jack or not he will see playing time. He is no stiff...atleast in pick-up games. Hope that can, for once, translate into game time.
Well that's it. Guess I'm disappointed in Ferguson's size but as to his ability level, it's too soon to tell. One final thing (jajk will like this). The players really like each other and act as teammates. Good clubhouse effect.
