I'm hoping that Fulton can come in and start, but didn't want to pencil him in just yet. Lampley was supposed to come in and contribute from day one, so you never know what you are going to get with a frosh. I believe it was Bob Knight who said the best thing about freshman is they become sophmores!

Hall, despite his lack of shooting skills, will likely be the starter. He knows the offense, is an excellent passer, plays good team defense, and will steady a new offense. Lamin will see more time as the season progresses or needs demand. He is a true point. Lampley was a point guard because of his stature and who, unfortunately, thought of himself as a shooter.

"The best thing about freshman is that they become sophomores"....Al McQuire
My McQuire favorite: "He is quicker than the last Mass at a Sunday resort".
McQuire's partner, Billy Packer, was far less of a blowhard and "Big Six" shill when money had less of an impact on NCAA Men's Hoops back in the 70's and 80's. Heck, SPC spanked U Conn back then!
Enough "Memory Lane"........back to the recruiting watch. :>)

I'm anxious but not nervous. I know for sure that Dunne has many irons in the fire. There's plenty of time left to fill the missing links. Dunne is very schrewd and is probably waiting to see how thigs play out so that we can get the best possible choices.

Where will Fall land?
Fall remains patient: Wings Academy forward Amdy Fall holds six offers, from Robert Morris, Marist, Elon, St. Peter's, Texas Southern and Maryland-Eastern Shore. Fall has yet to take any offficial visits, but has visited Marist and Quinnipiac unofficially and is in no hurry to commit as schools are still calling him. Fall said he plans to take officials to Robert Morris and Marist next week.
"I want to see what I have," said the 6-foot-6 shot-blocking specialist, an All-City first team selection by The Post.

Prospects appear bleak and discouraging; especially when you look at the "powers" we now compete with for talent. Both Fall and West will likely journey elsewhere. John's pitch apparently not working despite the MAAC win. Message not resonating, maybe due to job search. Much like Hillary, declaring to the world that Assad is a reformist.
Two of the remaining three from the city appear to carry some Samsonite. One lacks maturity, the other a head case and a likely non-qualifier. Much like the rest of the new MAAC bigs, all offensively-challenged.
C'mon Yvon, put a hurt on those other bigs.

We have to hope the Staff is involved with players other than the Recruiting Services have identified. Time for a little blind faith! :>) Who is Yvonne and why is she being asked to hurt big guys?

The only player we have heard anything positive out of is Jordan Parks. Have to hope we land him. I think we lost out on a potential JUCO from Fla. we were involved in per what i heard. Two weeks into the signing period,it's now time to start worrying .The job search rumors had to hurt but you can't blame JD for trying to improve his lot.

Believe you asked about Junior Fortunat recently who I felt would go higher. Seems like some of the majors pulled back leaving Rider, who pursued hard and never gave up, with the commit. Apparently, some felt he tailed as the season progressed and did not look good post season. Still, looks like a good get for Rider and a nice complement to Stewart. We were never in the picture. Not sure if we even pursued.
Yes, Parks is in the mix and probably the most likely at this stage. Still not sure who is telling him that we need him for the wing. Even with all that is open inside, doubt he will contribute much his first year.
Sorry Loyal, will edit the first name for Raymond (went with a girl by that name). Maybe it will toughen him up more for the 4.

Ayn , an outstanding novelist albeit simplistic thinker , must be rolling over in her grave deciding which is worse - the recent film abortion or the reference on this board .

I heard in Chicago that we were involved with Junior. If so a very disappointing miss again at a big man. He's 6-8 230 i hear and though it appears he had issues as you suggested we could truly be grasping at straws now.

SPC Fan, if you are worried, as connected as you are, it's trouble. Appears we need a last minute big man who was unexpectedly left at the altar by a better program. We did pick up Bacon that way (Delaware), but even he made a minimal contribution until halfway thru his soph season. To have a respectable year next season, looks like we need a JUCO to fall in our laps. Testing fate with that one. We know JD has to be trying hard, cause coming up empty up front will create an unwinnable roster for us (few rebounds and no inside "D") and.......a hard ceiling for JD re: movin' on up to a better paying gig. If we want a servicable big guy, JD wants him 10x. Am hoping eport's optomism is justified, but, if SPC Fan is concerned, we all should be concerned.
