Heard recently that we have a high school player visiting tommorrow. At least 2 JUCO players have visited, one since the end of the season.

One JC was Bennett, the other Hanson, and the freshman showed up today as committed.
Have to believe the Raymond signing indicates that bennett is a dead issue.

Do you mean the freshman showed up as committed to another school, or committed to SPC today? If the former, hope he enjoyed the Dineen Hall sandwiches. If the latter, "Welcome Aboard"!!

Listed as a shooting guard at 6'7", some higher level schools ( UAB, USA ) are interested but the fact that he's visiting SPC gives me hope.

It' hard not to get excited about next season and 2011 should be even better. Conley, Belin and Raymond look like immediate contributors on paper. We'll have a lot more depth next year, which will enable us to press more and match up better with the opposition.

We need a SHOOTER! I would even take one of those slow footed, non-athletic, court savvy, lunch bucket, suburban types.

Maybe we should make this thread sticky so it always stays up top.
And how the heck did sludge get 40 posts??

Not sure, but I suspect he is also registered under the same handle/password on the MAAC Pro boards and the posts there are also counted. Not positive on that but seems like the best explanation as he only had 7 at the time you asked.

Was attempting to improve my karma ;D Actually was trolling the Board at it's inception seeing what was available without leaving a post (leaves a post print, however). Lots of neat tools available.

Don't know if anyone noticed but Lenny Hayes Jr playing at Lawrenceville Prep son of former Peacock star Leonard Hayes committed to Stony Brook. Heard SPC didn't show heavy interest. He's a 6-4 wing .

???Interesting to wonder the feelings of Akeem Bennett towards Fordham who demonstrate the value of coach regardless of the money you throw at a program.
The feeling was that Bennett would opt for the higher profile league and the activity over there seems to indicate that he would see lots of action but minimal wins. In addition the current exodus of players would also argue for a potential change in coaches, but Fordham absorbed a large buy out with their last coach and would have another. High probability they will not buy him out in these economic times
