Since Loyal has not yet put out the betting line, obviously he's preoccupied getting psyched for the Pro Bowl, I'll tell you that SP is a 8 point dog today at home vs, Fairfield. I'll be driving up early in the hopes of getting a good seat. How about we get a good game from everyone and pull off the upset.

Down 28-24 @ the half. Not much offense from either side. Tucker with a nice half. Conley injured with three minutes left; did jot return. Even game, but Stags buckets off the offensive glass the difference so far.

Would love to have him, so not a knock......but Needham really has not improved since his sophomore campaign. Also surprised DES Wade is not more of a factor......guess his height ultimately is limiting. Again....no knock.......just an observation.

8 to go; down 9. Getting friendlynwhistle, but just can't score. Stag guards setting up easier buckets this half.

Mic on web stream picking up crowd noise, but broadcasters cannot be heard. No biggie, but amateurish.

Down 9 with 4 to go. Have not made a run this half so far. Workmanlike effort for Stags.....but nothing spectacular.

Stags makentheir FT's and win by 7. Ffrench and Raymond played well. Conley all alone underneath, circa last season. Nice game by Burke, did not shoot much, though. Desi off again. Our "shooter" has tired legs, I think.

Desi had zero points until very late in the game.
Darius continues to miss chippies.
Chris Burke, I think, took two shots while passing up several others. Several nice passes that could have been assists but fumbled.
Blaise...decent game. Don't know if anyone has taken the ball away from Blaise and Chris while pressing this year. Problem is that we break the press, have numbers but don't score.
Elias??? Think he's at least as good as Fairfield's 7 footer but never saw the light of day. Needs playing time.
Ferguson... remains stationary on the perimeter but so-what. His shots find a way to go in. Threw up a wild one...guess what? it went in!
Yvon...outstanding

We simply can't win without Desi and Darius giving us points.Desi's drought has been at least four games and just does not look comfortable anymore. Darius striking more iron than a blacksmith, however not finding the net. Yvon has been super...win or lose I would come just to see him play...a warrior.

On the subject of Hamburger, don't know if anyone on here heard his post game after Iona. He said he was surprised by David Laury who he felt was not a D1 prospect when he saw him in high school.
My recollection is Laury was recruited by a number of schools at our level and above but was marginal academically so most thought he would go prep or JUCO.In fact he went to Western Kentucky, well above the MAAC level, left due to some type of academic issue, transferred to Iona which had recruited him in high school ,sat out a year and got eligible in December.
The kid is 6-9 or so and can put the ball on the floor plus shoot inside and outside. Hard to figure how he didn't think he was a D1 player unless all those skills only materialized in the last year.
Too be fair i think he was only 6-6 or so after his junior year but the other skills i think were there and shown throughout his senior year in Essex County public school league play.I can't remember but i think he was at least 6-7 or so after his senior year. Looks to have grown since then.
