I don't need to tell you what you all saw and I just did for the second time, but being as close to the bench as you are at the RAC I enjoyed JD timeout instructions. He did a great job in identifying RU weaknesses and instructing specifically how to exploit them. The team followed his plan to a T.He was also in fine form in exhorting his players down the stretch not to simply sit on the lead. He was pointing out particularly to Marvin and Trevis, that they still had fresh legs for the stretch run while certain RU players were out of gas and could be exploited in certain sets.I also like Mat Henry reminding the players to stay poised and to ignore the crowd,
In case you might not have noticed amid all the other contributions up and down the roster,Jamel had 6 assists and 6 boards. Marvin magnificent . I like the fact that he had twice as many shots as in the LaSalle game and I still don't think that's enough. BTW Quinny was 0-15 on threes tonight in loss at home to Hartford. We were a bit better.

Went to Rutgers Basketball Message Forum and got a kick out of their posts. They're throwing Eddie Jordan under the bus and saying he got thoroughly out coached by John Dunne. Their posters can't believe they lost to us and run our program down calling it a "Random Program". Ironically, some posters were suggesting Rutgers should try to hire John Dunne from our "Random Program" to replace Eddie Jordan in their Big Ten program.

All well, but the biggest question I need to ask, is how did our staff learn so much, get so smart on the offensive end in such a short time? How did they suddenly learn ball movement, how to attack the basket, and most important, teach our guys to take and make 3's. I am just totally confounded by this sudden transformation, epiphany. Certainly nothing as simple-minded a result as making vs missing your 3's. Love the love. Perfect example of the self proclaimed intellectual trying to prove himself. He takes a game example against a body of work over 260 games. One might guess he is a climate denier. Lets wait the season out before the praise. Enjoy the moment, and root for more as we all do. But be wary of idiots who take singular moments and make them their mantra.

Tell us, is it now climate change or still climate warming which your closed mind does not allow for debate.
Still lack the balls or class to at least give credit for the aggressive and outstanding play of our kids last night I see. Transparently clear why.......to do so would force you to acknowledge that their play does make a difference. Otherwise, God forbid, it unmasks you as the biased fool you are by your fraudulent claims that it is the staff and coaching that determines the result.
Maybe in your infinite attempts at stupidity you can tell us what changes the staff implemented last night to suddenly reverse our fortunes. Did they tell them to be more aggressive, less tentative? Maybe told them to shoot better. Watching the game I could only find one small adjustment that may have been staff implemented; that being moving Welton to a higher post position where, as the portal, allowed for more handle and passes to the wing men. This also opened the inside pathway for screens and permitting baseline movement for Wyche, Patterson and Fields to pass to the open outside shooter. Maybe you can share with us your profundity? Certainly you will want to point us to us all those adjustment made by the staff that we are not astute enough as you to see.
Nothing here that will likely penetrate the closed mind. Your misguided agenda has seen to that.

Your misguided agenda has seen to that. As I said, you can't handle being shown that you have weak mental abilities. You are the issue, not the game, but your EGO refuses to accept that you have no clue to a discussion. Keep trying. You do realize that your original post exclaimed how clueless Jordan was. Nice set up for your praise. Were you implying it was a battle of bad coaches. Yes it was a good game, but you need to understand that you are generally the aggressor first and demonstrate with total stupidty to bolster your case. Even Loyal saw through you.

Peacock fans....I invite you to visit the MAAC Board where a discussion of John Dunne takes place. A poster named "punchdrunk" posted such venom that it could only guess that it was our beloved Peacock. The post is written in his style but with much more hatred than could ever be posted here. Not only an embarassment to the University but to the poster himself. After all, it's just college basketball! If it was not Peacock, I apologize in advance. So much venom, unfounded accusations and outright lies that there would not be the courage to post it on this Board. In other words a coward. Talks as if he's knowledgeable about things that he has absolutely no knowledge of.
But more than that, it was the tone of the post. No attempt at balance, just outright venom. Sad! Whoever that poster was needs an "attitude adjustment" himself and/or psychological help. No analysis, pro's and con's just pure attack. Never thought that that poster was so manic about a very good coach and good guy. Again a post that comes across as an embarassment to the poster.

When one continues to be exposed for his illogical and deceitful rantings here, it is no wonder that he would seek comfort with an audience of similar worth on the MAAC Board.

In my opinion, you'll not have to apologize for that call. It's sad that on a day when we should be at least, enjoying the moment , there is so much anger. In a thread that started out as a celebration of a great SP win,it was soon turned to an anti-Dunne,anti SPC-rant.Highly unusual, since most posts on the MAAC board ,whatever their origin, get hijacked into Iona-Siena battles. Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow posters!

Cindy,
Echo your Happy Thanksgiving wishes to all St. Peter's fans and posters. I also echo your commentary that the post that I referred to was just very sad. My initial reaction, like yours, was not anger but just sadness that one's opinion, which we all are entitled to have , can turn into such a rant. Didn't reflect well on our school and certainly not the poster. Not worth any more commentary.

Our win over RU will look very good should we win out and when the tournament seedings are decided. Too soon for that though. We need to start playing with consistency. We need to improve our shooting. Otherwise, we've got no shot come March.
