Whether due to injury or a stagnant skill set, Darius has not had the impact I had hoped for this year.
While never a prolific scorer, this year his rebounding and defense, IMO, have regressed. I believe he is averaging less than 4 boards per game and no new offensive moves have been on display.
In order for SPU to make some REAL noise in the MAAC, which can happen, Darius will have to have a much larger impact on both ends of the floor. Our guards will not shoot lights out most nights and no one else up front seems capable of being a consistent scorer/rebounder up front.
Thoughts?

Loyal you are correct. SPU will or die this year with defensive intensity, gang rebounding and the hope that we get effective scoring from 3 sources out of 5 spots. There can be no reliance on inside players and unless Blaise, Desi and one other can be effective we will have trouble

Also agree. The problem with Conley not scoring is that it's difficult to play inside/out. Desi et all will be pushed and guarded further and further away from the basket. Running and opening up the offense can help negate this but without inside scoring we are vulnerable.
