If anybody is still interested, he scored 30 points in Umana-Reyer's OT win over Snaidero UD in the Lega 2 playoff quarterfinals and thus advancing to the semi-finals. Even though the Venice team finished second in the regular season it can win promotion to Serie A if they win the tournament.

It's good to know that he's doing well. Wish he had a chance to play in the NBA

A tutorial on stuffing the Italian League MVP ballot box..... Who the _ _ _ _ approved this goofball post our SPC's athletic site? Lowbrow and minor league, IMO. We are better than that.

After visiting the MAAC Board today, I had to laugh because someone posted a complaint about the Peacock's feathered background logo. Needless to say, the poster was from a team we beat in the MAAC Tournament. It's nice to be on top.......hopefully we won't have to wait another 16 years to celebrate.

I had some informative conversations today. We should be receiving some good news in the near future.

eport from your mouth to god's ears. would like to maintain a very competitive roster. all 3 times we won the league we were not clearly the best team or really even the best team, but as I think oldtimer said we were right there competitive with the presumed best and just played better for a few days in march each time. SPC wont ever have a pat hand going in, but we I think need a little nudge to be in the mix enough next year to make March perhaps interesting again. Strange, but with the way selections now go SPC probably has a better chance at an NCAA bid than an NIT bid which reverses basically all of our bball history

Umana Reyer has advanced to the final of the lega due tournament against Fastweb CM. Both teams finished 21-9 in the regular season. Fastweb was awarded first place because of the tie breaking rules.

Umana Reyer wins on the road to even the championship series at 1-1. KeeKee scores 29 to lead the way. Now back to Venice for the next 3 games.

eclecticed , thanks for posting the good news update on one of our all-time greats . I remember when I use to post on the MAAC board and one of the obnoxious Saints posters noted how terrible it must be to be a Peacock fan . I am so appreciative in so many ways of my many years of rooting for the Peacocks . One of the main ways is to remember so fondly from time to time that Harry , Richie and KeeKee all played backcourt for our team . As I mentioned during the season , and Wes confirmed with his courageous play during the season and the tourney , Wes cemented his place on the list of so many other Peacock guards just behind those three - Willie and William and Pepper and Ted and Ken and so many others , now joined by Wes , that we were thrilled to watch play their game so very well in the white and blue . Hopefully , Steve and Lamin will join this long list . Go KeeKee !

KeeKee has been named to the first team all Lega Due and the all Bosman team ( A Bosman player has something to do with players transferring within European teams. I'm not clear on why KeeKee is a "Bosman"...no doubt something to due with his joint Bulgarian citizenship any clarification would be welcome ).
Umana Reyer lost in the fifth and final game of the playoffs. In years past two teams were promoted to Serie A, but the rules have changed so I don't know if Reyer will be promoted ( or in fact if KeeKee will play for them next year ).
I'll post if I uncover anything.
