Their is a very nice story in today's New York Post about the Peacock's game last night and their season . What makes it a special read for Peacock fans is Nick's candor about being sexually molested as a child and John's support and guidance when Nick opened up to him about this . It goes much further in explaining the mutual tears last night than just losing a game even a big one . I am challenged about providing links so hopefully someone else can do that . Maybe Nick was not wrong about St. Peter's being the next Butler but just a little premature . However , I am sure that most Peacock fans will continue to be grateful if the Peacocks can just continue to be the best program they can be .
On a less happy note , the Daily News has a brief AP recap of our game . I have read that paper for sixty years and find it disgraceful that that paper in our area gave virtually no coverage to our team's very successful season and , in particular , to Wes's courageous season in the face of such adversity . I have stopped buying the paper today . I will tell all the children that going to their houses and seeing the Daily News will result in automatic removal from the will . Despite my sadness about the struggles of the print media , may all Peacock fans boycott this paper .

Great human interest story. Just goes to show that basketball is just a game...that other stuff is real life.
