I was in H.S. when Pepper Dooley and Thomas F X Smith played for the Peacocks. The Armory was jam packed with Peacock fans. I remember Dooley and the guys very well. They crushed Seton Hall. May he Rest in peace. Go Peacocks.

Bill "Pepper" Dooley was an Assistant Basketball Coach at Saint Patrick's High School when I played for the Celtic's. He was a great guy and loved playing in pick up games after practice. He was a great passer and when he gave me a complement on a pass I made it meant a lot to me. I also remember him making a lot of reverse layups in our pick up games. He shared some of his tricks and basketball knowledge with me. After practice he would hang around with the team at a place called Cozy Corner. He was a great coach and one of the guys.
