Latigo right on. These big leaguers don’t understand that in basketball the big guys NEED the little guys both for their in season schedules and the drama driven interest of March madness. Do u really think that Izzo wants a schedule of the big 10 and a full diet of big east big12 etc games? How much March interest would there be in yet another Washington. St - tcu game as opposed to a spu- Tennessee game? If you take away both the ncaa and nit from the mids then what’s the point of playing? What’s the line from is it wall st- bears make money bulls make money but pigs- they just get slaughtered.

One other thought. Watching the nit the other night they posted a list of schools who refused to play. It’s the very schools the ncaa prefers to invite who say no. Many mid majors would love the chance that the hot shots are too good for. Meanwhile a 16-17 now 16-18 Xavier gets to play while quinny had to settle for the cbi. What a disgrace

Figgy, I couldn't agree more with both posts. As to the NIT and schools that declined. I know for a fact Indiana knew they weren't going to be invited so they came out BEFORE and said no. Just not to be embarrassed. I also read here Tom Crean blasted schools from declining. I remember well his last year at IU that the AD gave up a first round home game v Georgia Tech because he didn't want an empty stadium AND he didn't want the 500 people that were there BOOING Crean.
I agree immensely with you that Quinnipiac wasn't invited.
Caviar on Izzo's comments about mid majors. If that's the case, let's have a rule where the P5 schools can't sign a portal player from a mid major. Put that in your pipe and smoke it Tom. Go Peacocks!
