Press conference from last night. Odd that Corey was sitting behind the Marcus Randolph placard and no one corrected the reporters.

I think Galt summed it up perfectly. To play with the big boys, Sow would need to play power forward for us. The center position is the one place that separates mid majors from the power leagues.
While I may be wrong, I believe most of our players will be back. It all starts with the relationship with the Coach and if Bash stays, most will return. I am extremely encouraged by the player development we saw in Reid and Washington vs last year. Coach obviously knows what he is doing so we should all be encouraged by another off-season of player development.
It was a great season with the team playing to its full potential. Makes me proud as hell.

Outstanding season. 2 MAAC Championships in 3 years. Agree with everyone, Tennessee bigger, quicker and stronger. The goal now is to hang on to these guys. I hope they take a page out of Reid's book "the grass is not so green on the other side" and stay. GO PEACOCKS!
BTW, Kaintucky OUT... next PurWho.

Latigo- don’t know if u saw it but coach cal now is telling us that he recruits frosh and not older guys to help their families. So his poor babies are teenage boys playing grown professional men. Funny how his loss to peacocks was against a team most of whom are still in college. I guess the nba lottery never crosses his philanthropic mind!!

First of all, I'm very proud of this team. Making it to the NCAA Tournament is a big thing, especially for a Mid-Major team. Just wish we could have made the score more respectable, but as they say we couldn't throw the ball in the ocean tonight. If we can keep this team together there is a good chance we will be back in the NCAA Tournament next year.

No need to be despondent. Older folks will remember the NIT loss to Southern Illinois with Walt Frazier. I believe it was a ~40 point loss. That team went on the give us a season that was rated as one our best, beating Duke in the 2nd round. Now of course NIL could hurt us but those players should realize that with some new bees from the portal they would have an excellent chance to return to the dance next year. The NIL offers money but not necessarily development. Changing coaches could hinder development and move the player down the level for the future as a rental player. They have the potential to be a great team with Cory and Armani. And that gains more profile than money.

Figgy, he has been saying that for years. Hey we ran into a team just flat out better. However , Kaintucky fans really.... are losing their minds. (True, that is an oxymoron). Rupps Rafters excellent entertainment and SP has been brought up since last night.
I really hope the players really put a lot of thought into their future about what the portal DOES NOT offer. A real tradition and something that can be a part of history at SP. Go Peacocks!

Yesterday is in the rear view mirror but the enjoyment this team gave us throughout the year will be remembered. Team - thank you for a great year. This was not expected and you had us dancing. It's nice that the country knows who we are and if we make a habit of going to the tournament, it will help with enrollment and recruiting. You all kept our name out there, and that's all we can ask of you. Let's build on our success. Let's keep getting better and better.
Coach - great job. The growth in our players throughout the year is not by accident. Great job by you and your staff. We don't have our success without you ALL.
Peacock pride!
