Our guys did a great job taking Leach out of this game. Fields could not do it all by himself.
With some decent foul shooting, we win by double figures.
I would like to recognize Bland for his hard nose play and the dirty work he does. He rarely gets a mention on this board but he has been a vital piece in our success.

What can you say. Jersey City strong. Peacock Pride. Those guys left everything on the floor for all 3 tournament games. Talk about earning something. Talk about far exceeding expectations. Talk about wanting it, and getting it done.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
You make us all proud

Are you kidding me? Peacocks AGAIN DANCING!
3 things. The announcers were great. Clarke is so damned nonchalant with the ball. THE PEACOCKS ARE DANCING!!!
Good choice in whiskey. I'm doing a scotch. Tomorrow, for Patty's day, an Irish. Btw, 2 years ago tomorrow we put a booger on Kaintucky.
From a personal standpoint, I dont want PurWho or Kaintucky.
Finally, how the hell did I get addicted to this team/University?
Having asked that, my buddies in Indiana have been blowing up my phone and rooting for the PEACOCKS!!!

I'm so happy for coach bash and these guys. Just a terrific week. Halfway through the game I told my ten-year old that the peacocks just seemed tougher as a group and that toughness prevailed. My son inadvertently quoted coach sha and said "these guys are from NJ they are just tough, don't get rattled and kids from NJ don't get scared!"
Granted our best player is from Arkansas and some are from NJ, but I honestly think Jersey City toughens you up.
I hope Fairfield enjoys their fancy new arena and a new conference because they are soft and didn't deserve to represent the MAAC!
That said the final few minutes of this game was a hot mess and nearly drove me to walk away. Holy crap - the missed foul shouts, turnovers and easy layups was batshit crazy!

In Florida without ESPN U,so my #1 Son called me and on the phone, took me thru the last 3 minutes. I agree with above that the last 3 drove me crazy. I also agree with comment that if we made foul shots earlier, it would not have been so close at the end. But Washing and Randolph did make some big ones at the end.
GO PEACOCKS. I will wear my St.Peter's Tee tonight at party.

Was perusing the Fairfield board and, while upset and disappointed of their loss, most were very complimentary of the Peacocks. Very classy of the Stag fans.

Watched the replay last night. Casey was clearly out coached by Mason. One example; we gave little attention to Yetna in the first half and he was able to score some easy baskets. A different story in the second as, given more attention and, by now a clearly exhausted Yetna, forced Casey to take out his only decent big man. Rather than go smaller with his best five, he chose to bring in a clearly overmatched big man in Smith. Bash immediately went to work exposing his defensive shortcomings. Clarke and I believe Bland took turns drilling open three’s. Then Washington went to work inside making at least three relatively uncontested baskets. Thus, the turning point of the game. Certainly a masterful coaching job in the tourney. Nothing more clearer than beating three teams that bested you six times in the regular season. A great job of making adjustments, particularly as illustrated by our second half performances.

They also have an thread dedicated to blaming the rims in Atlantic City. I'm sure some of their fans are good people but in my experience most are arrogant asshats.
