Iona favored Sunday 6.5 and 132. The first game went to the Peacocks 69-57 and the Peacocks were a slight underdog. In that game, the Peacocks held the Gaels to 33% fgs and SP made 12 more fts. SP just committed 13 fouls to the Gaels 24 and outrebounded them by 10. SP made 53% of 3's compared to Iona's 28%. I think both teams will be at full strength. Last game, Gordon only played 11 minutes and Arenguren was pretty solid.
If SP can handle the press and rebound, I think we win. The blueprint was the first game last month. Replicate that and it's a W. This game could very well decide a 5th seed or a PIG. As always, Go Peacocks!

As Latigo pointed out big game for seeding. A win would give us the season sweep an h2h tiebreaker.

Thanks again Youngalum. The guy is spot on again. I did notice that SP had really good ball movement/reversal in the Siena game. It would be nice to see that today. Shema is apparently banged up and is questionable, per the Iona board. Go Peacocks!

Handling the press will be a challenge, as Reid A/TO ratio has been adversely affected by his right hand injury.

PSA I just realized we tip off at 1 today not the usual 2 pm Sunday tip.

Houge landed awkwardly; limped off. Still limping into the locker room while being helped by Reid. Doubt we see him again today and hope it’s not serious.

Need a healthy Houge and Corey to be a legitimate MAAC Title threat in AC.

Is anyone having an issue with the feed from ESPN?

Breathe easy gentleman. Big W today. Sow is a better man than I because I wanted him to throw down a huge dunk to finish it off!

Bland doing his best to give me agita there at the end. But, it was a good road win. Washington, Randolph and Reid with nice games. I’m really impressed with Randolph and really nice to have another weapon on a team that needs some scorers.

Absolutely worst inbounding team I’ve ever seen. Perhaps a special practice session for that. 17-20 from the line saved us.

The Peacocks played great defense, but we did have some defensive breakdowns that resulted in open looks, but nobody is perfect. Agree we need to work on inbounding the ball. We also need to be aware of the shooting clock. Hope Houge's ankle injury isn't serious. Again, Washington is a big factor. We are a totally different team with him in the lineup.

I don't know about you folks, but these injuries are getting old. I hope Hogue is OK. I think it will be swollen but ready for the weekend. I agree with Cindy, the inbound pass caused me angst. Especially when SP burned their last time out with 6 minutes?? to go. As was pointed out, great defense again by the Peacocks and this win will bump Iona in seeding. Clarke not a good offensive night but 6 assists. Reid really kept it together with ball handling and driving. I think the elephant in the room is Bash is a better coach than Tobin. Tobin cashed in by beating PurWho and is getting alot of mileage of it. (SP should have used the same marketing coordinator). Anyway, tough game at The Mount Friday and another one v Marist.

BTW, I think Niagara may have the easiest schedule for the rest of the season. Could be 4-1 to finish 14-6. Having said that, they beat good teams, lose to bad teams.
