Great catch YA ! It’s difficult for Fairfield fans not to be pompous when their feces are not fragrant .

Youngalum... I don't know where to start. I couldn't make it to page 16 because I had tears and couldn't see the screen. Apparently, FF is great in other sports than hoops. One joker said their basketball performance holding them back... well, duh, ya think?? They are too good for the MAAC?? CAA, Patriot, A10?? Laughable. More like the AEC or NEC. I stopped reading at the Butler comparison. Trust me, I know the history of Butler and they ARE NO Butler. Butler started out as D2 in the ICC. Then D1 MCC, Horizon etc.
I think the crux is the FF alum don't appreciate Sacred Heart being apart of the MAAC. I think they realize that SH may put a booger on their forehead and they can't stand it. I'm guessing that FF may have the highest endowment of the MAAC schools and to wit, join the Big East if your froggy.
Btw Youngalum, I was having a nice afternoon until I read that drivel. Beat Iona!

One more thing (to paraphrase Columbo), the Siena board mentioned a day or two ago about the windfall the MAAC is having for a few years to come, thanks to...... (drum roll..... trumpets blowing) St Peter's performance for playing 4 games in the NCAAT ! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think FF accepted the money GLADLY!
I never had an animosity against MAAC teams other than Iona and Siena, but FF now has made that list. Let's see FF or any MAAC team beat Kaintucky, Murray State and PurWho back to back to back. Go Peacocks!

Come on fellas, give Fairfield a break. Few might remember the obstacles they have encountered. A major scandal of coaches doing papers for some players. Hiring a high price firm to put spin on the story. And if I forget did they not have issues with football before giving it up. Having a high academic institution brings with it all the dirty laundry the elite have.
