Any word on how his visit went?
He obviously did not take this opportunity to commit.
Have Raymond and Belin signed their respective LOIs?

He obviously did not take this opportunity to commit. Even if he did I doubt you would have heard by now. Give it at least three days before you get pessimistic. News dos not come easily from inside. Possibly our resident source might comment.

Samuels is still planning other visits. Not a good sign. If a positive I suspect we will hear in a few days. News typically comes from outside, not inside. Spellman is out as most have probably heard. Nothing from Hanson, so presumably a scratch. Gamal is still a possibility but would likely be two years from contributing. Needs to add strength, lacks quickness, and outside game has not been demonstrated. F.G. of St. Benedict's is a long shot, but intriguing. May be looking for better academics. Shopping list, unfortunately, grows smaller.
Maybe we will hear more from a resident source.

However, sometimes these kids know that not all schools offer during the visit as they have others they want to see if they can get. I would think Penn State fits that bill and already have a pretty decent squad he would have to compete against. Not sure on either of the WSs. Also agree on info as it is hard coming particularly with the source on the links with the team. Do disagree with you on Gamal. Did a little background search on him and found out that an outside game was his forte, but he pushed it aside to play inside for a front court challenged IHS. And he did well at that. From the readings, it appears he is a pretty good long range shooter.

Gamal has indeed shown earlier that he is good from long range. Knock is that he needs room to get his shot. If the case in high school, not a good sign for our level.
Penn State does have some high profiles coming in and, with recent fortunes, can aim higher. Like you, know little on the needs of the other suitors. Maybe the question becomes, does the kid wish to travel afar?

From the April 2 Star-Ledger Somerset Cty edition. The writer is Everett Merrill:
"Player of the year: Gamal Mohamed arrived at Immaculata as a kid with a reputation for knocking down jump shots. Three years later he leaves as a complete player.
"Every year I got better," said Mohamed, who transferred from Kearny Christian his sophomore year. "Coaches told me every year that my hard work was paying off."
The 6-2 senior scored 500 points as a freshman at Kearny Christian, primarily as an outside threat. Over the next three seasons he added playmaker, rebounder and team-leader to his resume at the Somerville school.
"Because he's such a great scorer, people may think that he sometimes rushes some things, but he really is a complete player," said Immaculata coach Mike Frauenheim. "He's a coach's dream. "He knows when he's the open man and he knows when he's not and to look for someone else. He has a passion for the game."
Mohamed stood out in some of his team's biggest games. Against Camden Catholic in the Non-Public A final in 2008, Immaculata was down by one point and two minutes left. Mohamed received the ball off a rotation and nailed an open 3-pointer that gave his team the lead for good. He scored 16 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter that day to earn his first of two straight Non-Public A MVP awards. Tha 60-56 victory was the school's first basketball state championship.
Three post-season games this year typified Mohamed's pension for scoring in the clutch. He sank only one basket in 10 attempts in the first half with Immaculata holding a slim five-point lead against Seton Hall Prep in the Non-Public North A title game. Mohamed owned the second half, hitting on four of his five shots and all four of his free throws to finish with 16 points in Immaculata's 58-50 victory.
"My teammates always encourage me to keep shooting," Mohamed said with smile.
The second illustration was against Christian Brothers in the Non-Public A final where Immaculata was trailing by 10 points at the half. Mohamed hit only five of his 13 shots in the first two quarters, then converted five of eight in the second half, including the basket that gave his team a two-point lead in the fourth quarter in the 61-50 victory that gave him his second MVP award in the state final.
Mohamed developed a knack for not only scoring in bunches at opportune times, he also wasn't afraid to drive the lane and pick up a foul at critical junctures. He shot 80 percent from the stripe this season.
He was usually assigned to the opponent's top scorer, and the results were in his favor. Mohamed held Ridge marksman Andrew Madlinger to 13 combined points in two meetings, helping him earn MVP honors in the Somerset County Tournament final, claimed by Immaculata 58-49.
His 1,200 points at Immaculata are fifth on the all-time chart. Mohamed has drawn interest from Toledo, Eastern Kentucky, NJIT, Bloomfield, St. Peter's and Monmouth. "

Samuels is still planning other visits. Maybe we will hear more from a resident source. Did read where Samuels visited Wright State last year, so he has seen their campus. He did also have an in home with Marist last year.
