Big game , to type the obvious . That's good this time of the year . Have to hold the home court advantage against a team we beat easily on their court . But that last game was on a Saturday afternoon after they had tough game against Jaspers on Thursday night . Watching Bobcats all year , they are among the teams most impacted by short rest , and that won't be the case this time . And short turnaround for them was compounded by their missing the injured McGuire in the first meeting . He is a 6'7 frosh who doesn't score a lot but he rebounds and gets lot of assists and , most importantly , for Bobcats helps Kelly out a whole lot when he is on the court with his ball handling . I tend to think that Kelly is a little overrated when guards around the league are compared . But there is no question that he is very good , and was playing at far from his best in the last contest . Maybe tomorrow night , we learn a little more of how much of his horrendous night in the first contest was due to his being tired from the short rest and maybe being a little banged up and how much it was due to the Peacock defensive scheme and our length and relentless defensive pressure ( most of the time ).
Q at their best are dangerous with very easy wins over the best in the MAAC beside us ( Rider and Monmouth ) and a really nice neutral court win over MAC-leading Bowling Green . We shredded their zone last out with Hassan and KC leading the way .We''ll see if having McGuire available makes it less porous and how much Dunleavy tries man-to-man with more rest . So hope the guys come out with their heart and hustle from the opening tip .

Tremendous balance two top scorers from Sunday failed to score but three frosh playing approximately 20 minutes each scored 18,18 Edert and Banks 14 Estrada . Meanwhile nice to see Fairfield needed Ot to defeat Marist.we get payback Sunday

I envy you being there but it was also great to watch streaming . Frosh and sophs scored 80 of 84 points , I believe .. Estrada , Banks and Edert were 12-18 from three . Gotta get the Stags Sunday but will get greedy and hope Doug has real good day so we push it to five ROWs . So good to see Lee on the court . Solid coaching tactics having Estrada , Banks and others take chances covering Kelly so he had no chance to beat us . Love to watch Banks on D now and Estrada should eventually be as good or better on that end . Guess the frosh were not overhyped . So much fun to watch Hassan and KC play the game . Different game and different Peacocks come to the fore . Looks like all alone in First place .

95% of the points scored by Underclassmen. 74% by Freshmen. Amazing!
As an aside, so much of the game revolves around 3-point shooting. Perhaps hypothetical, but if we shoot the same 3-point % as Quinny, we lose by eight.
Good to see Lee in recovery mode.
Oh my, just saw a similar post and view above.........TROUBLING!

Saw two interesting developments tonight, both involving Doug Edbert. On two occasions I saw a screen ( not a pick ) on a set play designed to give Doug more room and time to get his shot off. Was not happening earlier this year but credit Sha for figuring out what needed to be done. Obviously a set play.
The other was Doug putting the ball on the floor and driving to the basket. Only saw it once or twice but again gives him the respect of opposing players which gives him more space for his shot.
Obviously, the players are growing as the Season progresses.

I’ll take our frosh over kelly every day. Did not think woods should ave been tossed but also didn’t see whole event. Usually a high elbow gets a flagrant 1 but he got a 2 which I’m not sure was warranted. Cam jones floor generalship was terrific and he got the ball to Edert in his hot streak. I still think quinny ought to be better but they don’t defend well as evidenced by many wide open shots for us. And boy do we scrap on defense. Don’t know that Marfo would have gotten his run if woods was there. Majur had 3 and kc knew he had to be careful. Hands down Shaheen has to be coach of the year. The improvement in this team on both sides of the ball is very impressive. We still make some poor decisions but more and more we hunt good shots and free people up for easy ones. And our defensive effort is really excellent

I agree with figgyprez about our freshman who are growing up in a hurry. We have lot of weapons which come from a variety of players. We still have enough games to stumble but lets hope we can close out the regular season with at least 3-3 or better.
