Desport has two FG's this year. I do hope Welton can have a much greater impact during his freshman season. Elias has shown a pulse recently.....I am rooting for him to take a major (quantum) step forward next year. Same with Chazz, who I hoped would play better as this season progressed. There are probably four (Iona, Fairfield, Niagara, Loyola) and arguably five current MAAC guards who would start at the 2 spot ahead of Desi. If Adams comes with his advertised skill sets, especially the ability to create his own shot, which Desi cannot do, we have to be open to that possibility. Probably moot, since both will likely be on the floor together quite a bit. Also, fact is Fields was the fourth guard in the Stag rotation as a soph. Keep an eye on Trevis to step up quickly and get minutes pretty quickly. He looks like "Jasper Walker with a three point shot"......though admittedly an unorthodox one. :-)

Let's not be so quick to anoint newcomers. All this does is result in discouragement and frustration when the expectation fails to match the reality.
Next you'll be demanding a new staff that will give us a 20% win total.
