Down 7-5 after eight minutes.
Some of the ugliest basketball, on both sides, you will ever see in D 1.

Pointed comment by color announcer.....Marist gets loose ball, streaks up court for a three on one.
Layup.
Announcer says, with disgust, "by the time Marist made two passes for a layup, Conley and Ffrench had still not crossed half court".

Down 25-22 @ the half.
Looks like D 2 game. Very sloppy on both sides.
Will be better to win it than lose it.......I guess.

Must be the coaching, we know the talent is there. We could change the words a wee bit . Must be the coaching , they don't the talent is there . Or at the least don't know enough to never play the young man or to bury him for most of a game after he makes one mistake . As one announcer said during a recent game quoting JD . This is paraphrased but very close . ' It's such a tough situation that we may have to play Karee . ' But you and a few others are so desperate to defend Dunne or yourselves that you wise-ass rap our players as the game is still being played . Congrats to all our players on a nice win tonight .

More bullshit from one who gets it on by personally attacking John for his "lack of growth". Lose the thin skin and read carefully. No one is demeaning any of our hard working kids personally; not being at the skill level of some of the other schools has nothing to do with character or citizenship. Take a hard look at the head of your second favorite team before throwing the shit at a coach who has little on the court and even less off.

Take a hard look at the head of your second favorite team before throwing the shit here. Hey , you're an Ayn Rand fan , I assume , from your handle . Ayn might have been a simplistic thinker but logic was not one of her weaknesses . It is one of yours . You used the word "talent' on a basketball message board talking about our players . A reader has every right to assume you are not talking about their "character or citizenship" . You are a wise ass who should have a tenth of the toughness of a Darius , Desi , Yvon , Karee or the other Peacock players . And our players can't be at the skill level of other schools - they are players not " schools . As far as that " attacking Dunne personally" , that just defines your inability to read and understand the most basic of concepts . I was talking about John's bad behavior in one game versus another poster's repetitive rapping of Yvon's behavior . Count the # of posts that I have made about Dunne versus the number of posts on this board denigrating our players ' skills . But then again you were the poster in Wes's soph season who told us that the staff had such concerns about the weaknesses he came to SPU with . Congrats again to our players on on a nice win tonight .

Your attempt at subtlety is only exceeded by your ignorance. You are blinded and can't separate a discussion of a player's skills from his person, yet you become categorical when it comes to assigning blame at the helm.
Yes, congrats to players; we won despite the coaching tonight. Aside from Lewis, Marist is terrible but would likely beat us 7 out of 10 times on a neutral court.

jajk,
Enough! Your original post about John Dunne spoke for itself. I wanted to leave this alone but your post above just compounds your post about how you hope John Dunne "becomes a better person". Your comment had nothing to do with that one incident and you know it. Obviously not man enough to apologize. Everyone speaks out of line once in a while and you certainly did in your original post.
Now for the post above. Don't be a coward call me by name, not "another poster" as you constantly cite. I'm a big boy and can stand up for myself. I truly resent you characterization of "another poster's repetitive rapping of Yuvon's behavior" Who were you talking about? Try reading your own thread were I joined you, IMMEDIATELY, on congratulating Yuvon's play this year. In fact, I called him our best player.
I posted that last year Yvon was BENCHED, not put in the "DOGHOUSE" because he often played out of control, hurt the team and himself. Not a personal characteristic but more likely due to his intense competitive behavior. Guess you must be going blind but if you watch him this year he walks away from trouble, does not confront the refs and has become a much more valuable player to the team. That's a positive statement and not a rap. If fact Cindy ( with apologies for mentioning by name) after reading the past posts and who is at almost EVERY game remarked how well Yvon is handling himself this year and he's become that much more valuable rather than fouling out and sitting on the bench.
So now tell me the number of posts on this Board that I've made denigrating any players skills. In fact, I've been having a running battle with loyal about Ffrench and Chris Burke and it was YOU who posted that I defended them just to show my basketball expertise. Didn't see you defending their talents. In fact, didn't you criticize Blaise for throwing the ball away in traffic? I'm more supportive of our players than you pretend to be.
And who posted that about Wes? I don't remember reading such a post. If there was name names or just shut up.
Finally about Karee...another dig at the Coach. Now if you remember, BEFORE the season I posted that JD mentioned to me that Chris B would be ready to play very early on but that Karee might not be ready until after mid-year. spcfan followed my post up saying that he knew about that type of injury and that it's very difficult to come back from. Now so I don't play phoney, like you, I have no idea why Karee hasn't played sooner. There are a lot of possible explanations but ONLY YOU seem to know the answers because it fits your agenda or should I say vendata.
I'll post my observations on tonights game below but you've lost me. Your final sarcastic sentence tell it all. As for me I congratulate both players and staff on tonights victory.
