Coming off long exam break Peacocks face Blackbird team that just crushed Jaspers by 27. LIU reportedly will be without leading scorer Boyd.

I guess they are trying to improve the video experience, but they need to stop trying to switch views. They like to cut to a different view on the offensive end and you end up missing the entire play

No worries; Desport will not have moved by the time they switch back.

Hot shooting keeping SPU in it; shooting 65%. Down 2 with about 3 minutes left.
Inside defense a sieve. Conley slow; Desport glacial; Jackson can't catch the ball.
Ffrench playing very well.

Raymond on fire. SPU shooting over 70% and is up 3.
Best offensive shooting display of the season.

Offensive explosion by SPU. Have scored 39 points, up 4 at the half. All of our guards have played very well. Raymond, Ffrench and Washington leading the way. Conley will need to step it up in the second half on both ends of the floor, I think, in order for SPU to win this one. LIU's Olusaware (sp?) is a handful inside.

SPU getting a good homecourt whistle (announcer concurs).
Ffench dishing; Jackson finishing (!), Washington with two threes.
SPU up 9.

Washington with 23; SPU up 9 with 12 to go. Long, long way to go, but hot shooting for Peacocks has continued.

Up 15 with nine to go. Peacocks shooting over 60% for the game. Time capsule material so far.

SPU up 13 with four minutes left. Everything looks good when the jump shots go in like this. SPU depth taking its toll on Blackbirds this half; SPU a step faster.

80-67 Final. Best game long shooting by SPU in recent memory. Washington with 28. Nice games by both Raymond and Ffrench. Burke active on the glass. We score 80 in a game Conley had 2 points. Also best home court whistle in quite a long time.....almost every touch foul went our way, on both ends of the floor. Miller Time.

Great game. We seem to match up so much better against good offensive teams vs. good defensive teams.

A win sine sweating out the last minutes . Excellent performances by Desi , Blaise , Yvon and Chris B but really a team win . Despite 2 points , Darius with key rebounds and blocks and a great hustle play ; Markese with couple of important buckets and great defense including blocks ; Chris P with a key three at that point in game ; Patrick with two catches and finishes ; Chazz with some important minutes after shaky start - that pull-up J was pretty and hopefully something we'll see a lot more of over his Peacock career . I also agree on the officiating - rarely do we see homecourt ad most teams get . Is some of Mc's $16 million finally being spent on treating refs better ? Maybe a hi-def camera for the video stream is next .

Loyal and jajk pretty much hit the highlights,Ffrench and Yvon had fine all around games,Desi had a 28 on a wide variety of shots.Tucker and Burke(8 boards in 24 minutes) were solid off the bench. A 35-29 edge in boards, rare for SPU,allowed for a fast break /transition game.Peacocks had 40 points in the paint,an amazing 21 off turnovers, and 10 fast break points. This while playing a good portion of the game with Tucker and Burke as our bigs. It was clear from the start that Dunne's plan was to attack the bucket and slash inside, early points by FFrench and Raymond set the tone and on this night against this team,I believe they were from Brooklyn,it worked. Finally a fun game to watch that wasn't a nail biter..I don't remember the last one.

Nice win....especially after LIU just took Manhattan to the woodshed 75-48. Hard to figure this team out, but you have to like them....no loss for effort tonight. I repeat....we are not a last place team in the MAAC.
