Somebody had to get this started. We opened at -7, now 6-1/2.
Looking forward to Lee seeing more time. Eyes on the continued development of Major.
Thoughts admittedly moving too far ahead:
Is Iona’s resurgence for real? Do we see Bostic next year? Should Jones seek a 6th year? Can it be argued we have the 6 best freshmen in the MAAC this year? Do our Freshmen stay?
I know........let’s first get the win today.

Woods not on the floor .I suspect related to ejection Majak and NDefo need to stay out of foul trouble.

Outcome here vs first game with Fairfield is a good illustration of how far this team has come. Estrada showing how he can take over a game. Major officially a game factor. Another well managed contest by Sha. DEFENSE!!!

Stags had no answer for Estrada. Majur a huge factor getting boards blocking and altering and deterring shots. Points were gravy. Great to see f drame make great progress too. I think teams purposefully grab at kc to get in his head and stripes do nothing to protect him. I just think that he is a marked man for whatever reason. Our depth takes a toll on teams. Everyone chips in someone gets a good matchup or gets hot and no one on the opponents gets a break on defense. And our defensive intensity is very good. Even without woods we buried stags on the boards too. In response to one of galts queries I’ll take Jones for bostic if I need to make a choice. As to the frosh- who knows winning makes folks happy but who knows what whisper campaigns some might hear behind everyone’s backs. But shas connections to them are very strong and that might bode well for retention

Funny about the twins. When one has an up game the other seems to struggle. Are we sure one isn’t far better than the other and they simply switch uniforms prior to game time? Lol

How good has the staffs recruiting been?
Our seniors, who led the way last Sunday at Monmouth, scored 7 points in two games this weekend. The Peacocks won both handily.
That is impressive.

Complete team effort. Great defensive intensity. Estrada has tremendous upside. If we can keep the freshman and sophomore classes intact, I can only imagine what heights they'll hit this and the next two years.

Before the season one rating service listed us as one of the five best mid-major recruiting classes but in our wildest dreams i don't think we could have foreseen this years results but it is very enjoyable to be seeing it happening. There is so much to like starting with our defense that has recently started with a 2-3 zone and switches to man to man and other variations. The coach with these variations including full court pressure and running makes it so much more enjoyable to watch.
Go Peacocks.

Peacocks' get nice paragraph in today's NY Post's college hoops page summarizing season to date . Gives shout out to Holloway leading his team to conference leading status with mostly underclassmen and his recruits . Think maybe Shaheen was not grabbing ' the low-hanging fruit for one of the nation's weakest conferences ' ? Loyal and a few others here were talking early in the season here about how good these guys could be .
Those low - hanging fruit should get their seventh MAAC ROW spread among four players in now the 21 ranked conference . Column credits Coach with leading Peacock's to 7-8 winning streak for first time since 1987-88 . Anyone here know whether that is accurate ? Also says he has shot to lead Peacocks to the dance for the first time since 2011 .
Most difficult job in college hoops now is to decide which Peacock will win MAAC ROW . Should be Aaron who early on showed signs that he could be MAAC dominating player if he was willing to work on the weaknesses in his game . He is . But you could probably make a pretty good case for five of the Peacock frosh . Maybe that Siena stat obsessed poster could do us a favor and calculate the 40 mpg stats for MM yesterday . Just WOW ! But even those stats would painfully fall short of signifying the potential MAAC impact of this true MAAC center . Just a joy to watch how basketball smart he and Hassan have become in such a short time . And how freaking good can those two and Foussenyi become when they add a little more strength to their talent and hustle .
One at a time for players and staff , and the next one would surely signify again the amazing story unfolding in Jersey City this season that was started to be noted here a few weeks ago .

Watched the game and was very impressed with Estrada and Majak. What didn't show up in the box score was how many shots Majak altered in the paint. Totally disrupted Fairfield's inside game. If Majak can develop an offensive game he will be something special. Just needs a jump hook and a couple of moves underneath.....big upside in terms of potential.
