Announces he is transferring from Providence. Three years eligibility left.
We had lots of competition for him a few years ago, if I recall. Even so, let's hope JD's expanded recruiting budget will accommodate gas and tolls for the drive up to RI.

Would be a major get if we could pull it off ,.6-8 250 banger would be a great replacement for Quadir when he became eligible if we ever got him. He wanted higher so i doubt we're on his radar but one can always hope for a miracle. On another note, i notice Jeremiah Worthem now has left NC Central, has only one year left after a sit out year. He previously flirted with us and Iona. I'd doubt we'd go after him.

Careful what we wish for. Even the highly respected Cooley could not motivate nor get through to this gross underachiever.

Hate to say it but for SP to land a player with Smith's potential, they need to need to come with sort of baggage. If he would not have been eligible at Providence as cindy hinted at (if I took the comment correctly), I believe his options would be to transfer to another D1 school and not receive a scholarship for a year, or transfer to a JUCO to play for a year. With the loss of Welton, Wyche, Patterson, and Baker after this year, I think he's worth the risk if he wants to come.

It is my understanding that the train has left the station.
