Still six PIG teams . Major difference is that top two seeds play pig winners on second night then have a night off ,Saturday before the semis instead of games on three straight nights . All details in a thread on MAAC board.

Seems fair. Rewards regular season performance.

Saw an article where Masiello complained about the format. Frankly playing on consecutive nights helped his teams since they're relentless pressing style wears opponents down when playing three consecutive nights. Each of the last three years he's used that to his advantage to win the league including knocking out SPU in the second half the last two years with relentless pressure we couldn't handle. Should be interesting.

Should be interesting. Correct. I also figure he wants to hurt his perennial foe Iona whose run and gun style wears thin on a third consecutive night . Logical that he then would be opposed to a change that all others favored. The three in a row format is stressful and quirky compared to the rest of the season and may not produce the best league representative but does favor his team's style and composition.
