I see so much talk from the administration regarding community outreach. How difficult is it to introduce the college to kids in the community and have them attend games for free? Or local youth basketball teams? Have the players have an open session with kids and allow photos and autographs. You can do more to promote the college and the team to the local community.

Another example of pseudo research that creates "data" akin to the stuff which screams that 14 people changing corners of a room in Iowa is somehow a valid factoid about who should be president. How can one rate Lawrenceville or West Long Branch? Unfortunately this is the kind of Fox type mindless screech that snake oil types like Masiello will use against us in a kid's kitchen.

Masiello doesn't have to use snake oil.
He can use 10-0.

I was going to say" You can say that again" until you got to the Fox part but I would change it to PMSNBC.Then you did. Reverend Al ?

Cindy- don't guess at my politics from one throw away line snippet- you'll find out I don't like anyone lol My sincere apologies. I made that assumption based on traditional old school Hudson county thinking and your one remark. But you don't like anyone ? Not even the Peacocks?

Cindy,As a long time student of American history and politics and a graduate degree in its study, suffice to it say that both the left and right as currently constituted have it grossly wrong despite the vitriol of each. So Fox or MSNBC ,O'Really or Maddont, Paul, Clinton, Cotton doesn't matter , they should probably take Chris Christie"s ( who I also find repugnant) advice and sit down and shut up. We are unfortunately in an era when we mistake having a smart mouth for leadership- where I grew up a smart mouth got you a smack from either your parents or playground mates and so you learned manners and respect for the other guys view. A lesson needed to be relearned by today's media and our supposed leaders. End of sermon. Now what do you hear about our next OOC?

The only thing I heard is that Rutgers wants no part of us.

To answer some of my own question, I suspect that the OOC next year might be pretty similar to this. I suspect that we will have returns at home with Brown, Cornell, BU and Hartford and away at FDU, SHU and Princeton. Really leaves about 3 spots- probably one up game on the road and two more or less at our level like LIU and perhaps another America East or Patriot type game- unless we can get into some tournament.

If SHU for once they need to come to us. We always went to Rutgers too. Everyone else will return the visit. SHU seems like they could use a humble down to earth reality check. Are we the only team they won't return visit

I suspect that SP doesn't necessarily mind going to SHU every year. We have played them fairly well in that place, winning once and coming within a half court prayer on another. It can't hurt recruiting to have an annual game at the Rock and be the only NJ school to play SHU every year besides Rutgers. Gives us at least the illusion of cache. Besides the finances from SHU view is better served by home and home for them with Monmouth which has had visits from power teams already- like Villanova . If SP had a facility which would make finances more palatable you might get an occasional home and home, though I guess it wasn't too long ago that SHU came to JC and won a pretty competitive game. RU only came here once recently and got beaten and we beat them a couple at the RAC. I suspect our relations with each are about the same, except our success rate lately vs RU is better than vs SHU

Figgy, I see your point. One thing that we need is Yanitelli could use some roof work, bleacher work. A few cosmetic things could go a long way. Be nice if it could happen. You don't have to build a new gym but a makeover is needed.
