Anyone miss it game repeat on at 8pm on ESPN3. fortunat probably had his best game but Q did all he could do, that's where we got hurt, like he couldnt miss. and the clean block foul and the intentional killed our chances. Announcer says offense stagnant when TW not in, we have to fix that, and I think Mel does a good job setting G guys up too, but must execute after

newfan...good man! I have the urge to be analytical/critical also but restrain myself. However, your posts are usually right on. Trevis and Q have been playing well but all players over the course of the Season have their ups and downs. Tyler was hot for a while but has settled back a bit. Still very important together with Travis breaking the press and is also not afraid of attacking the basket.
Don't know how many times I have said it and you have also. Forget about designing plays, again there are only so many in the universe. Most MAAC teams rely on high picks and then rolls to the basket. Rider does the same as does Manhattan, Monmouth, Quinnipac etc. But ultimately it comes down to player execution and the ability to drive and create. Trevis and Tyler are decent at this...they try! Still we do not have that one player, Hearst, for example who can do that consisently...create! We need to be agressive towards the rim.
Against Rider and the other contests I've seen everybody handling the ball offensively. It's still up to players to make plays. Simple!

Have to admit there are some simplistic analysis on this board. Not Cindy, but issue of getting Desi the ball is to get him open with the ball. Seems many other decent 3 point shooters are freed against decent defenses, but in our offensive patterns non-existent when challenged.
The simplistic ones refuse to understand a true point needs to have a figment of an outside game. Love your player, but recognize the faults. Sure he had TWO good drives. Glad you appreciate the five points in the loss. Not claiming he has no value, but when no others can compensate, he than is part of the problem. Creation comes because other players are respected. Not many other than Desi are respected. Execution comes from the set ups. The fact that they play off him gives him more opportunity to drive and leaves the others covered. Teams with good defenses expose the flaws in this team.
I doubt oldtimer has watched many MAAC games that are not SPU. He should try it sometime. And with all due respect, aggressiveness comes from game planning as does follow up shots. Why don't they follow up. They need to get back into their defensive set up which is the model for their offensive game. Aggressive players don't seem to get the time. Most aggressive player on this team is Boone. It seems everyone has the reason we lose as much as we do. Some say the talent isn't there, Some say the players are not reacting well enough. No one ever blames the architect.

Peacock I can see your view, but there G Ave been many times DW has been given open look only for him not to pull shot or put ball in floor. Our guards, note I say guards, have driven, penetrated and given good looks, after that DW has to make play,no one is going to give him extra time after he catches to get set, line up, shoot, as well as putting ball back on floor erases the open look you got. Yes, he has been given clean looks, note if he doesn't shoot, then defense might back off a little cause he gives them no reason at the time to worry, making MD more of a target. If our guards drive and get to rim fine, if they drive, draw defense, then kick out to open man, it's their fault the shot not taken, I think not. All our shooters tend to do same thing. In Rider game 4 inbound careless turnovers , not guards fault TW on bench, Mel not with ball yet. So don't feel fair to say guards not setting up or getting shooters open looks, they do. DW needs not put ball on floor, not his game and when he does we all have seen some of the out of control moves and thrown up shot. Bottom line players have to execute. Each does their role and like I said, can't make you drink. Lastly yes shooters need to follow shots. saw few that could have been extra posession for us but ball was looked at, no attempt to rebound. Sometimes the extras need to be done, we have guys who if they are offensively not getting it to work, they give us other things, rebounds, etc. Some do none of that, if they not doing what they are known for, they do not do much else, they dissappear, giving much of nothing. Overall we have to get 5 guys on same page at same time, we have occasionally done it, have to do more. Tonight will be tough as we are in their backyard. Let's root and see how it goes. OT, hear any word on TW ankle

Watching game, good start. Think subbing started way to early. Always subs at 14/15 min mark, these guys can go longer, had a decent flow going. Don't know why, I know they need rest but do they need it that soon.
