Saw a few games at Hamilton summer league. My thoughts on some players. St A's McDuffie is probably a major conference recruit. Reminds me of Marvin with excellent range and quickness off his feet. Chances are he's a 3 in college but could grow to a stretch 4. Jaden Mosely is another high level prospect. Has a body like Fields but is a much better offensive player. Dunked off the dribble several times vs Patrick School in semis. Nice perimeter shot. My opinion possibly big time. Hudson's guards Marion Williams is very quick, goes to basket with abandon, can shoot some. Is about Wyche's size, quicker but can lack control. Withoiut Mosely, he wrecked St. A during season, with Mosely St. A won by 30 in final. Hudson"s Friday is an enigma. Seems only to want to thunder dunk. Is about Welton's size but without Q's desire to rebound and fight. Can jump, is strong but I doubt his nose right now. Patrick School's Aiken is also very nice. Good shooter and handle. sees floor well and makes others better. Played with not many good players this summer in JC. I suspect when he gets the real Patrick team things will be different. Newark Tech had some nice mid sized players but since there was no PA could only go by names heard in the crowd. Frankly I'd have to see a write up to jog my brain, but team bears watching in season.one last player on Hudson who bears watching is Patrick Strzala? nice form on shot appears to be a good corner catch and shoot prospect.

We offered Aiken from Patrick School....long shot that we get him, but you never know.

I think I saw where Friday was offered last year. Sounds like someone we could get.

Cindy- I don't have that kind of juice. Can only report what I see. IMO Aiken, McDuffie and Mosely are out of our league. Others are MAAC level, including the Newark Tech kids I referenced. Still need to keep an eye to whether Singh from SP Prep stays or goes. He would be a nice catch.

HS Question: Based on the Hamilton Park games, think the Hawks are favorites in the HCIAA South this season, given Prep's key defection?
Thanks.

Loyal clear favorites. Went unbeaten during summer til final vs St. A. Prep has no one as far as I can tell unless Singh stayed. Final loss by 30 to St. A is trroubling for HC. McDuffie and Mosely make Friars real formidable on state level.
