Wasn't he suspended for a year from RMU. Hope whatever it was he learned. SPU has great group guys, don't need any distractions

As spcfan reported, have had unofficial contact for some time. Infraction was rumored to be minor and he has opportunity to return to RM after sitting one year. If he trips to us, can practice and become eligible for '15/'16 year. Has good upside. Best NEC freshman last year. Good handle, rebounder, and deadly up to 15'. SF/PF combo capable.

If that's the case and you frequent posters seem to have good insight. He would be an asset if he chose us. Like the look and direction of the team. Can't wait for season

If he trips to us, can practice and become eligible for '15/'16 year. Pose this question. although technically a transfer, he would be far different than normal ones including the sick grandma ones. He was suspended in late January and leaves this year non-voluntarily. Yes he can go back but does the year end at the start of the semester or in the middle. Makes a big difference on his schooling. Just wonder if a waiver could be obtained for an uncontrolled situation, since as you indicate a minor event. If he landed it would be worth looking at a request.

I sure hope that playing with his high school teammate , Quadir , is the deciding factor in his decision . Worthem would be an immediate impact player in the MAAC - gives a coach flexibility with his talent suited for the three or four slots . It would be a big bonus if the unique situation allowed him to play second semester next season if he wanted to go that way . But despite all the guys leaving after next season , starting 15-16 with Wyche , Welton , Desport , Patterson , Hawkins , Boone and Worthem would put us in great position to repeat as MAAC champs ( smilee here if I knew how to do it ) .

If he left RM second semester after classes started in January he definitely sits out a full year. Whether they put him out or he left once enrolled for that semester, that semester is gone.

Not the issue in question. Abnormal circumstances to his leaving school. Waivers have been granted for far simpler conditions.

Pure conjecture on my part but, since a result of a transgression, think NCAA would be less inclined to rule favorably on a waiver request.
Overall, think our chances are good for Worthem coming based on yesterday's visit. If you recall, he first visited last year before choosing RM, thus suggesting that this trip was not just to view campus but perhaps more substantive and conclusive. Again just speculation but, if parents attended (as in the RM process), would be even more telling.

It is all conjecture, but there is no precedent either way for this type of issue. Always worth the shot to apply, with some salesmanship around the minor offense. Presented strictly as a discussion topic. Then again, no knowledge if he will come.

Not very encouraging. Apparently has several other suitors including an option to return.
Even McBrayer is looking less likely.

Jeremiah Worthem is going to Indian Hills CC in Iowa. Apparently he got a deal with some Big 12 school for his final two seasons. He gets praise from some, but he may regret this decision as he is most likely over his head at that level. Nothi9ng more than a role player.
Dupree McBrayer made some heavy noise a Pittsburg event. Only negative I could spot was a high positive thrown out by Rothstein.
From recent Pitt report "Dupree McBrayer listed offers from Norfolk st st peters Quinnipiac Manhattan Minn and SHU. Interest-Prov memphis drexel usc rhode island"
